Real, 3 Points Again!

I haven't been commenting on the Real Madrid results lately, because they keep getting wins. There's nothing too controversial to report.

But Real really had a hard game in Sevilla, against Betis.

They won, but luck was on their side. I'm talking especially about the hand-ball, in minute 64, by Xabi Alonso, which the referees failed to detect. A penalty for Betis could have made it 3-2 (instead of 2-3, less than 10 minutes later) and might have spelled trouble for the team from the Spanish capital.
And there was also a possible hand-ball in the dying moments of the game, with Sergio Ramos as the culprit.

However, that's not to say that Real did not play well. They had a lot of chances.

They were also unlucky to fall behind in minute 10. But that luck reversed with time.

Thanks to a class equalizer by Higuain (in minute 25) and a precision finish by Ronaldo (52), Real took the lead, a lead which only lasted 3 minutes, because they failed to clear their lines properly on a corner kick and Jefferson Montero punished them for it.

But Ronaldo scored another one of his masterful goals in minute 73, when the Betis defense could not clear the ball properly.

So, Real wins yet again. They could try to beat Barcelona's record of 99 points in a season, in 2009-2010.
With 12 games left, Real could win a maximum of 36 more points. That means they could afford either only two more losses, or only three more draws, or one loss and two draws (but this third option would mean they would only tie the record). Winning the league is probably going to be easy for Real, but achieving this...
