What was Manchester City doing, in the first half of their return leg against Sporting Lisbon?
If they had only defended in that first part, considering what a second half they had, they would have been through.
It's nice that Mancini accepts the blame for the Europa League exit. But meaningless.
This is one more trophy that Manchester City won't win this year.
And only the Premier League remains.
The main problem with Manchester City, as I see it, based on all of their failures this year, is that the team cannot mobilize properly in the most crucial of moments.
Mancini, if he is a good coach, really has to fix that issue, and very soon. Or they'll lose all chances of winning the Premiership, too.
(He should either do that, or just hypnotize the damn players to make them believe they're always playing at home... Oh, and that they're playing the second half, too.)
