Real Clinches the League Title

Real Madrid fans were not treated to a Barcelona error. The Catalan team defeated Malaga, as expected, 4-1.

But no worries! All that meant was that Real needed to beat Athletic Bilbao, at the San Mames, if they wanted to become champions as quickly as possible.

And, sure enough, they did win. 3-0.

Even though Ronaldo missed a penalty - how the hell can he and Messi call themselves the best players in the world if they miss penalties so stupidly, I don't know - Real still got an easy win, courtesy of a Higuain stunner, a smart goal from Ozil and a header from Ronaldo himself in the second half. (This all took place before minute 50.)

So, Real Madrid is champion of Spain!
(Now, let's see if they can beat Barcelona's record of 99 points in one season.)
