Those Counter-Attacks!

People expected Basel to defeat FC Zurich, at home, and climb to second in the table.

The champions were expected to take advantage of slip-ups by Grasshopper Zurich and Luzern, who could both only managed draws.

But the last match of the round provided the biggest surprise of the tournament so far.

FC Zurich played excellently (- could have actually even made it 3-1 -) and very relaxed defending contributed to see the minnows come back from a 0-1 deficit to go up to 2-1 by the 59th minute.

Basel was but a shadow of the team that a couple of years ago knocked Manchester United out of the Champions League, in the group stage.

Now they remain on 8 points, 7 behind perfect Young Boys of Bern, and out of the top three.
