4th Title for the Galaxy

The Los Angeles Galaxy is now the top most successful club in Major League Soccer. (Well, they're tied with DC, 4 titles each, but they do have the most trophies, too, now.)

LA, led by footballing giants like David Beckham, Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan, came back from a 0-1 deficit, to overcome Houston Dynamo, 3-1, at The Home Depot Center, in Carson, California.

Calen Carr put the feisty Texan team ahead, just before the break, with an inspired powerful shot from close distance, that snuck in underneath the bar.

But, fifteen minutes into the second half, Omar Gonzalez showed great class, by heading in a Juninho cross that really could have gone anywhere.
That started the downfall for the Houston outfit. Only five minutes later, but not before Keane had a goal disallowed by the referee, another ball contested by Gonzalez sparked the incident that convinced the referee to award a first penalty in this match for the Galaxy. The penalty kick was converted into a goal by Landon Donovan (following his usual PK ritual).

The second LA penalty came deep into injury time, and sealed the win for the Californian team. Robbie Keane was the scorer.

No goals for Beckham, on this, his last match in a Galaxy shirt.

The four MLS titles for Galaxy were won in the years: 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2012.
